How much does a new forklift battery cost in the UK?
Price depends on voltage, capacity (Ah), tray size and chemistry. Most counterbalance and reach truck lead acid batteries fall between a few hundred and several thousand pounds. Send us your truck make, model and current battery plate details for an exact quote.
How do I know which battery fits my forklift?
Check the battery data plate for voltage (e.g. 24V, 48V, 80V), capacity (Ah) and tray dimensions, plus the minimum weight shown on the truck's data plate. Send us a photo of both and we'll match the correct replacement.
Lead acid or lithium-ion — which is better?
Lead acid has the lowest upfront cost and suits single-shift work. Lithium-ion costs more initially but charges faster, needs no watering, allows opportunity charging and lasts longer — ideal for multi-shift operations.
How long does a forklift battery last?
A well-maintained traction lead acid battery typically lasts around 1,500 charge cycles (roughly 5 years on single shift). Lithium-ion batteries can exceed 3,000 cycles.
Do you supply chargers and fit the battery?
Yes. We supply matching high-frequency chargers, deliver UK-wide and can install the battery, take away your old one for recycling, and service it afterwards.
Do you buy or recycle old forklift batteries?
We can collect and responsibly recycle your old battery when we supply the replacement, often with a credit against the new unit.
